Femastin 0.1% Cream is used to treat vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women by providing estrogen to ease symptoms like vaginal dryness, irritation, and discomfort, which occur due to the body's natural decrease in estrogen production during menopause.
Femastin 0.1% Cream contains Estriol, a hormone used in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), primarily to relieve menopausal symptoms in women, such as vaginal atrophy, where the vaginal walls thin and cause discomfort.

Femastin Cream provides relief from menopausal symptoms in women affected with vaginal atrophy
Estriol, the active component in Femastin Cream, is a form of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It releases slowly in the vagina, where it is absorbed into the surrounding tissues and bloodstream. Estriol helps normalize the vaginal lining, restoring the natural microflora and maintaining the pH balance. This increases the resistance of vaginal epithelial cells to infections and inflammation. Compared to other estrogens, estriol has a shorter action, making it particularly suitable for treating symptoms related to estrogen deficiency, especially urogenital symptoms.
Femastin Cream should be used as directed by a doctor. Each dose contains 0.5 mg estriol. For vulvovaginal symptoms associated with menopause, a dose of cream is applied daily for 3 weeks, after which twice-weekly use may suffice. Before surgery, it is used daily for 2 weeks. For Pap smear preparations, daily application for 7 days may be advised.
Administration:
Missed doses should be applied as soon as remembered unless the next dose is due. Do not double the dose.
Femastin 0.1% Cream is unsuitable for children or adolescents, as it is intended for postmenopausal women. Elderly women (65 years and older) should use this cream only after consulting with a doctor.
Femastin 0.1% Cream is not recommended during pregnancy or for women planning to become pregnant, as it may harm the fetus. It is also not advised for breastfeeding women due to potential risks.
Store below 25°C, away from light and moisture, and keep out of reach of children.
